A Blended Break
2008-10-21
Welcome Blended Sounds readers, I will keep this message brief (but as always it will be at least mildly entertaining):
Things here at corporate of Blended Sounds are in quite a flurry as we prepare for the coming winter months and the changing of the music season yet again. To ensure that we deliver the oh-so-succulent and flavorful yet robust reviews that we always have, we will be taking a brief hiatus to retool. The site will return (hopefully with a fancy schmancy new design) to action on Tuesday December 2, 2008.
Until then, don't anyone get too lonely out there, and remember there's always another new release Tuesday...at least until Armageddon (which I'm banking on not being anytime soon as my behavior would dictate that I don't fare so well in the second coming).
Aloha,

Hold on to Your Hats, Kids...It's Blended Tuesday
2008-09-16
This week, instead of welcoming everyone to the site as I always do, I've decided I'd like to exclude based only off the fact that I feel like it. So Welcome new readers to another wonderful week here at Blended Sounds (even though you don't really know that it's been another wonderful week since its your first week here, but that's neither here nor there, so you'll just have to trust me)!
In the past week the site was joined by two new reviews. The first was of the indie hip-hop album Tobacco Road, which was released by Common Market last Tuesday, and the second was the somewhat underwhelming new Fall Out Boy single.
This week there will be a couple different new reviews, including one of the latest from DJ Khaled, who has been burning up the charts with this latest singles.
Past whats already been said, the only thing left to do is tell the return readers what's up. Return readers: Check the update. That will be all, thank you.
...
Only kidding, we love all readers here at Blended Sounds, and we thank you all for reading for yet another week. We'll see you all same time, same place next week.
Regards,
Mike Hardin, Managing Editor -
What's Today? That's Right, Baby, It's Blended Tue
2008-09-09
Assuming you all can read the title, this post should need no introduction. However, I found that assuming only makes...well, you know, so I'll go ahead and explain anyway (never mind the fact that if you couldn't read the title there would be no way in hell you could read this, but that's neither here nor there).
Welcome everyone to yet another week at Blended Sounds, as we approach one year in business we are busy thinking of new ways to keep things innovative and fun around here. In the meantime you'll have to settle for me.
Before your eyes see Wednesday morning there will be a review up from this week of The Gaslight Anthem's EP Senor and the Queen, and in the coming week we will of course have more exciting reviews for you to delve into. Fall should be bringing some exciting new offerings, so in the coming weeks ahead we will be seeing a plethora of new reviews on the site as the end of summer dump summarily brings this season to a close.
Past this small essay I've already written, I have nothing further to say, so I'll leave you the same I found you: with a smart (and I don't mean intelligent) remark.
Don't get arrested,
Mike Hardin, Managing Editor
